Hello!
My name is Simon, and am the founder of UnderCloud. When I graduated highschool in 2019, I didn't have much of a plan beyond the urge to travel. Instead of jumping right into a degree in something I didn't like, I took the time to travel and adventure. Haiti, Spain, Portugal, England, and across America and back. I've jumped out of airplanes, snowboarded enourmous mountains, and treked, solo, across America. Between travels I worked in the trades, first for my father's concrete polishing business, then framing houses in Canada.

A passion, and a talent, for programming

I've always had a love for computers and after starting my college degree, I found my passion extended to programming. I spent much of my youth building websites with code-less tools for various interests, but I took the time to learn to program website the proper way, no website builders or AI tools.

The Subscription Niche

I've been developing code for over 3 years since and have worked as a Data Scientist, Solutions Architect/Engineer, and Full-stack web developer. I wanted to take my skills to the next level and began researching. I found a lot of small businesses don't have the liquidity to spend thousands on a website. And those that did, they were often taken advantage of, handed a $500 peice of garbage instead of the quality site they paid for.

The founding of UnderCloud

I founded UnderCloud to be different, to offer something different. I was raised to value trust, integrity, and to judge people by the quality of their character. My business model is designed to be as transparent and straightforward as possible. No fees or 'gotchyas'. I want to bring those principles to my career, and to offer quality websites to businesses who might not be able to afford them normally.
